एक नदी के किनारे एक बहुत बड़ा पेड़ था। उस पेड़ में एक चिड़िया रहती थी। उस पेड़ पर बड़े, मीठे और रसीले फल लगे। बदरलेटी फल पेट भरकर खाए और मौज मस्ती की। वह एकाकी जीवन व्यतीत कर रहा था। एक दिन एक मगरमच्छ नदी से निकला और उस बड़े पेड़ के नीचे आ गया जहाँ बदर रहता था। बदर ने पेड़ के ऊपर से पूछा, कौन हो भाई?
मगरमच्छ ने ऊपर बैठे बा डार को देखा और कहा, मैं मगरमच्छ हूं। मैं बहुत दूर से आया हूं। मैं यहां भोजन की तलाश में आया हूं।
